2nd chance interview, life changing.
I was in the hotel industry for over 13 years and needed a change in career. I applied for the Administration Officer/Reception role on Seek.com back in Nov/Dec 2020. My initial contact with Andrew was a phone call interview which lasted no longer than 3 minutes and felt it did not go that well. I put it down to my nerves and not had a job interview for over 13 years. I noticed the role was back on Seek.com a couple months later. I emailed Andrew asking if he would consider me for the role again. I received an immediate email and phone call from him but this time a face-to-face interview the next morning. This interview went over 30 minutes and I felt it was a much more positive one the 2nd time round. Andrew made me feel very comfortable throughout the interview and quite thorough with the questions asked. Even though the company was looking for a person with Corporate Administration experience, he felt that with my many years of hotel and hospitality experience I could be a strong candidate. Consequently I went through 4 more interviews with various staff, executive managers and the Chairman of the company (Springfield City Group) and I successfully received the role. Throughout the whole process, even after 3 and 6 months after being still in my role, Andrew has kept in touch with follow up phone calls to see how I am going with my role with Springfield City Group. I am still absolutely loving my job learning new skills and knowledge of administration and surprisingly city building development.
